I am a UX consultant based in Auckland, New Zealand. Prior to setting up my own consultancy, I had over 10 years experience in the IT industry in roles ranging from end-user support to business analyst. During this time, I extensively applied usability principles on a diverse range of software and system development projects.
Since branching out on my own, I have worked on numerous projects, including intranets, content management systems, and e-commerce websites. My clients include the University of Auckland, the House of Travel, the Bank of New Zealand and the Ministry of Health.
I hold BA in Linguistics & Psychology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Philosophy
I believe that technology should be desirable, useful, usable and innovative.
That’s why I take a integrated approach to product development. Branding, design, functionality, writing, trust and credibility all contribute to a positive customer experience.
And because I understand the challenges of the fast-paced web industry, I’ll work with you to develop solutions that are practical, timely, cost-effective, and suited to your business goals.
I’m dedicated to helping you build better products that customers find easier to use.
I believe that improving the usability of your website, software or product will:
- reduce development and support costs
- reduce the need for expensive redevelopment
- increase sales & customer satisfaction
- enhance your brand, and
- give you a competitive edge.
How I work with clients
Together we’ll define the scope of your project and see where my services can help you meet your goals. There’s usually some discovery work, followed by a creative development cycle: from analysis to design to launch. Alternatively, sometimes I just help clients think things through.
